Phillip emerged from his background in design at the Philadelphia College of Art with a strong desire to improve what he identified as a lack of sophistication in traditional marketing and sales applications. In a very short period of time he had transitioned from his own successful sales business running the Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware territories for design driven corporate furniture into designing and creating specialized sales tools for some of the same companies he had represented in the past.
This focus on marketing came about right at the heart of the digital revolution which would shake up the advertising and branding world and leave the traditional model of sales behind. Phillip had always been interested in the intersection of technology and marketing. Having become intensely focused on learning everything he could about hardware, software, programing, and design Phillip felt that the time was ripe for a creative studio that focused exclusively and extensively on this approach.
That’s how in 1998 he came to form MindActive, an innovative up-start that concentrated on this intriguing new digital approach. The direction was soon field-tested and proven with MindActive winning clients including prestigious brands such as Lindt Chocolate, Anheuser Busch, AT&T, Universal Studios, Citrix, SSM Health, among others. As he has lead MindActive into their first two decades, Phillip has always kept a hands-on approach - capable both in managing his clients and staff on a personal level while also pitching in on all-night code sessions to keep his life-long love of technology fresh and his interest kindled.
In addition to technology, Phillip has always had a fascination with fast cars including racing Porsches in the 90s and driving what could charitably be described as a “questionably” street legal track car to work everyday.
